abstract painter

Working abstractly lends itself to capturing moments of what is felt and unseen. Recurring themes in my mixed media work center on an evolving personal quest for direction with sense of purpose; connections among people; and a call to celebrate the present moment imbued with an attitude of hopefulness and gratitude. Multiple layers build, are covered and then, sometimes scraped back to reveal what came before in a call-and-response process until the painting ultimately births itself. My intent is not overt but just on the edge of consciousness - intuitive and fluid; one mark or brushstroke informing another.
